Disappointing experience overall. The interior feels dated, dusty, and lacking attention to detail. Communication was challenging, as no one seemed able to manage even a basic conversation in English. The mojito was unfortunately very diluted and lacked flavor. The tuna tartare was genuinely good, but the portion size was surprisingly small — especially given that this is not positioned as a fine dining restaurant. The view is pleasant, however the overall experience does not justify the expectations.
The food was okay. The place is overhyped because of the aesthetic. The food presentation is amazing but most of the stuff were stale, or chewy. I made the reservation using google and they were unable to find me. The lady downstairs was not difficult to accommodate me, but the host upstairs was. I would just go here for drinks and enjoy the view. Omg the server took forever to take our order. I believe we waited 30+ mins.
Wheels down less than 2 hours ago and I was ready to see what Bogota was all about. A rooftop bar is my fav viewing spot. Not the loud, I wish I was 21, but elegant, eclectic, I want to brag to my friends, rooftop. This was not that. If felt...what? Tired? The service was good but impersonal. I'm more of a 'let's chat a little—I'll tell you what I love about the place—we can be friends for the next hour', kind of girl. Husband had the groovy gin and tonic. It had dry ice so I had FOMO. Then I had a Margarita Rose. No sexy smoke, but I liked it anyway. Well, once I got over the shock of how sour it was. I saw pink and expected sweet. We ate the Andean Rice. I think I liked it but my brain is still sad as I'm a 5 star girl. I want to love you so please don't disappoint me, it ruins my sleep and sleep is EVERYTHING! One big thing, it had a tree. I love a tree inside a building. The world (my world) needs more places with trees inside.
The food was good, but not great — it mostly lacked flavor and felt quite basic for such a popular place. The drinks were the highlight, especially the sangria, which was one of the best I’ve ever had. Our waiter was kind and friendly, but the hosts seemed indifferent. Despite making a reservation two weeks in advance, we were seated at a dirty table in an awkward location near the exit with no view. The restaurant itself looked nice, but we didn’t get to experience much of the ambiance due to where we were seated. Overall, I’ve had much more exciting dining experiences in the city, with more flavorful and refined food at the same or even lower price point, so I don’t think I’ll be returning.
Overhyped rooftop bar, drinks were weak or had no alcohol, service was lousy. I had high expectations but my experience was pretty disappointing. I was seated alone at the bar and ordered the Ossobuco, I was told it was unavailable. Presentation is ok, view of the city is nice., but there are way nicer spots in Bogota. Food came out cold, and the bartenders ignored me entirely, and the managers are wondering. I still got charged $100 for weak drinks and cold food in a lousy Marriott. I’d recommend elsewhere.
