We came across this Trattoria whilst wandering through the markets of Bologna and we were immediately intrigued. We were able to get the last available table and had the most amazing meal that we have had in Italy. The service was so warm and welcoming, but the food was even better. Everything you could hope for in a trattoria in the food capital of the world. Would give more than five stars if possible. Don’t be us and be sure to book ahead!

I highly recommend eating at Trattoria Gianni! I had the affettato misto all’emiliana for starters which was incredibly delicious! All of the meats were high quality and tasty beyond comparison. After that I enjoyed the tortellini in crema di parmigiano and believe me when I say it was the best thing I’ve tasted during my entire stay in this city! The last course I had was the crema di mascarpone con ameretti which rounded up a perfect meal. Everything was truly perfect and the service was just as good. I will definitely come back as soon as I get the chance. Bravo

The food was spectacular, had the friggione alla bolognese as appetizer was so tasteful and the cicoria my wife had as appetizer was also fabulous top that off with the beef tartare made at table and the fresh homemade pasta really can't describe and then the panna cotta as desert ,texture and flavor next level...floating back 2 hotel. A MUST !!
