Staying at Fullerton Hotel Sydney was more than just a hotel stay — it felt like experiencing a piece of history. The building itself is stunning, with beautiful heritage architecture blended perfectly with modern comfort. The rooms were elegant, clean, and very comfortable. Service throughout the hotel was exceptional — friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Every staff member made us feel valued. The location is also fantastic, making it easy to explore Sydney while returning to a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere at the end of the day. One of the highlights was simply appreciating the history and character of this iconic former General Post Office building. Staying here became part of the travel experience itself. Would absolutely stay again and highly recommend Fullerton Sydney to anyone looking for luxury, history, and outstanding hospitality in one place.
Location was great, close to everything and plenty of public transport close by if needed. The rooms aren’t modern but they are clean and comfortable. Plenty of room, all of the expected facilities and beds were just right. Had a great nights sleep on both nights we stayed. Club lounge access was great. Lovely breakfast spread and we enjoyed afternoon tea. We were lucky enough to be here during Vivid so missed out on pre dinner drinks as we’d booked a harbour cruise but I’m sure they are great too. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Had cocktails and a bite to eat at The Bar on Saturday night. Great spot to relax. Will come back. Thanks for making my daughter’s 28th birthday special. Birthday cake on arrival was a lovely touch.
Hotel is in a perfect spot to see Sydney from circular quay to darling harbour and to the opera house. The service is impeccable as are the team of concierge, guest agents, hospitality and cleaning staff. Breakfast was beautiful and plentiful. The rooms are perfectly appointed and very clean. That shower or rain/waterfall faucet is reinvigorating. We will definitely stay here when next I travel. Personal mention to gues agent Jei. She checked in with us daily to ensure our stay was warm and accomodating. A wonderful experience had by all
Awful hotel. To call this a 5 star hotel is a real stretch. Booked a clock tower view, got assigned an internal courtyard facing room. There is also noise pollution from music played at the bar late at night. I sent a parcel to the hotel that got bounced because the hotel reception did not sign for the parcel. Rooms are large but miserably decorated, old, and lined with musty carpets. Shower water temperature fluctuates wildly. Without any adjustment, 1 second the temperature is warm the next it is boiling hot. Service is abysmal. 0 hospitality. Long lines at check in and check out. Imagine calling yourself a 5 star hotel with no porter helping you load your luggage into the car. The porter out front WATCHED us load 4 pieces of luggage ourselves without offering any help. For the price, you absolutely should go somewhere else. Water temp, old rooms, and abysmal service is noted repeatedly across all reviews. The fact that these are not corrected over months says it all.
My recent stay at The Fullerton Hotel in Sydney was absolutely amazing. We treated ourselves to a King Suite and were blown away by the sheer size of the room – it felt huge! What really stood out was the spotless cleanliness; the hygiene was out of this world. We had access to the club bar, which was a great spot, and the breakfast was top-notch, especially the scrambled eggs, mushrooms, and fresh orange juice. For room service, the 32 layer cake was unbelievable – you have to try it. A special thanks to Molly at reception for being so welcoming. Everything about Furleton Hotel was majestic, and even the Alia restaurant just down the street was incredible. Majestic vibes all around!
